Even though Tom Cruise has so far been unable to win an Oscar, his Church of Scientology co-congregants have stepped in to provide the actor a trinket to place on his mantle: a diamond-encrusted "Freedom Medal Of Valor".

The 42 year old Cruise is an Scientology adherent. Scientology believes in the existence of aliens and is it reported that the mega-star thinks his new award is out of this world! Cruise has been nominated and by-passed for an Oscar three times.
