Hello!  I was talking with an out-of-state New Thought church member last night on a different matter.  But, the topic swung around to the way the right-wing conservative evangelical churches and how the market, market, market.  My friend said that the New Thought churches purport to be incredibly positive in outlook and energetic in promoting the creation of joyful lifestyles. The problem, he suggested, is that New Thought, positive-thinking, churches don't jump up and down and enthusiastically wave their arms in the air and self-promote as the evangelicals do.  Point well taken!

Just read the comments about New Thought churches needing to promote more. Yes! The fundamentalist churches do an incredible job of self-promotion and evangelizing. They are all over the television and radio, for example. Plus, of course, they're politically organized. New Thought churches such as the one hosting this blog, The Love Church, ought to take pause. Our belief system is that we are part of the infinitely creative energy of God / All That Is / Spirit. Since we are MADE out of the very Source of creativity, we ought to start showing our "stuff" more effectively.
